Woodside, Calif., Oct. 6, 2011 \u2014 A total of 16 horses will start tomorrow morning in the CIC3*, the featured division of The International Event At Woodside. All the horses presented this afternoon to judges Marilyn Payne of New Jersey and Loris Henry of California were accepted for competition.<\/p>\n
The two judges also accepted all 19 horses presented for the CIC2* and all 17 horses presented for the CIC1*.<\/p>\n
Dressage gets the competition rolling on Friday morning, with both the CIC2* and the CIC1* starting at 8:00 a.m. The CIC3* horses will perform their tests from 10:20 to 12:40.<\/p>\n
Show jumping for the international divisions begins at 3:00 p.m., starting with the CIC1*. The CIC2* will jump from 4:00 to 4:40, with the CIC3* starting their rounds at 5:05.<\/p>\n
Then, on Saturday, the international horses will face the challenges of Derek di Grazia\u2019s cross-country course, in reverse order of their two-phase standing. The CIC1* will begin the action, at 9:30. Then the CIC2* will run from 11:45 to 12:40, with the CIC3* climaxing the event from 1:10 to 2:00.<\/p>\n
The awards presentation for the CIC3*, CIC2* and CIC1* will follow at 6:00 on Saturday evening, in the ringside tent. The national divisions, with more than 250 horses, will continue competing through Sunday.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the generosity of The International Event At Woodside\u2019s sponsors, the total prize money for the three international divisions is $18,000. The CIC3* riders will split up $9,000, with the CIC2* riders competing for $6,000, and the CIC1* riders competing for $3,000.<\/p>\n
